AMUNDSEN, Dorthe Pedersdatter Framstad 1852-1911

Dorthe Pedersdatter Framstad was born either July 28th or August 27, 1852 (probably August) at Saugseiet in Gran, Hadeland, Oppland, Norway to parents Peder Larsen Framstad and Anne Gudbrandsdatter. She emigrated to Iowa in the spring of 1872 with her parents. The family settled on farmland in Rock Township, Mitchell County, Iowa.

Dorthe married Amund (Amundson) Anderson at Mitchell County, Iowa, the couple had at least four children.

Dorthe died November 13, 1911 (some sources say 1912) at Mitchell County, Iowa and is buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.

Found in the 1880 - 1910 censuses living at Rock, Mitchell, Iowa:
1880: A. Amonson 29, Dora Amonson 27, Carrie Amonson 1, Peter Bartte 36, Merta Oleson 25.

1900: Dorta Amundson 47, Carrie Amundson 20, Adolph Amundson 17, Peter Amundson 14, Nora Nelson 2/12. Says 4 children, 3 living, widowed, emigrated 1873.

1910: Peter Amundson 24, Carrie Amundson 31, Adolph Amundson 27, Dora Amundson 57, Nora Nelson 10.

Amund Anderson was born 1851 at Gran, Hadeland, Norway and died May 16, 1888 at Rock township, Mitchell County, Iowa. Believe three of their children's names were: Adolph Amundson, Peter and Carrie Amundson.
