STACYVILLE WOMAN DIED
LAST MONDAY AFTER
LINGERING ILLNESS
Funeral services for Mrs. Agatha Kraus, 61, were held last Thursday morning, August 25, 1949, at Visitation church in Stacyville with the Rev. V. Hintgen officiating. Burial was in the Stacyville cemetery.
Mrs. Kraus died at Stacyville on August 22, after a lingering illness.
Agatha Heman was born July 12, 1888, to Mr. and Mrs. Math Herman at Stacyville. She spent her girlhood in Stacyville, and was married to John F. Kraus, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Kraus, May 7, 1912.
Mr. and Mrs. Kraus farmed for several years at Stephen, Minnesota.
Mr. Kraus died on November 26, 1923. After his death, Mrs. Kraus moved back to Stacyville where she purchased a farm where her son, Robert, now lives.
Mrs. Kraus was a member of the Christian Mothers Sodality, being its head officer for many years, before her health failed.
Surviving are three children, John of Stacyville, Robert, and Mrs. Ray (Gertrude) Halbach, and nine grandchildren.
