LAST RITES FOR
JOHN SCHWAB, 82,
WILL BE FRIDAY

Funeral services for John Schwab, 82, of Osage, Iowa, will be held on Friday morning, April 1, 1949, at 9 o'clock at the sacred Heart church. Rev. Conroy will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Schwab has been in ill health about six months and he died Wednesday morning at the home of his grandson, Adolph Schwab, in Osage.

Surviving are two sons, Peter of Osage and John of Milwaukee, Wis.; a brother in Milwaukee and a sister in Colorado. There are also ten grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren who survive.

Mr. Schwab's obituary will appear in next week's Press-news.

JOHN SCHWAB

John Schwab was born in Russia in 1867. he came with his family to America in 1911 and settled in Colorado until 1923. They then came to Osage and have lived her ever since.

Mr. Schwab's wife preceded him in death ten years ago, and since 1946 he has lived with his grandson, Adolph, in Osage.

Mrs. Schwab died last Wednesday after a six-month's illness, at the home of his grandson. Funeral services were held on April 1, 1949 at the Sacred Heart church, and burial was made in the sacred Heart cemetery.

He is survived by his two sons, Peter of Osage and John of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; a brother, Valentine, in Milwaukee, and a sister, Mrs. Catherine Kaiser of Sterling, Colorado. There are also ten grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren surviving.
