Nina D. Burke, 100, of Time to Care in Waterloo, died Saturday, November 29, 1997, at the care facility of natural causes.

Nina was born August 30, 1897, in Riceville to Edmund and Margaret Doran Condon. She married Edmund Burke in Riceville. In 1974, he preceded her in death. She taught at St Edward’s and Sacred Heart Catholic schools in Waterloo.

She is survived by a son, James, of San Antonio, Texas, seven grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Edmund, five sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services were December 3 in waterloo with burial in Calvary Cemetery Riceville.
