Thea Finsand was born July 28, 1884 at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Tosten Olsen Finsand and Margarethe Halvorsdatter, the ninth of their twelve children.

Thea was baptized September 7, 1884 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Iowa. Her baptismal sponsors were: Tideman Dokken and wife; Torkel Olsen and Tonnette Tollefsen.

Thea died September 20, 1889 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa and was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
