Charles Lavon Pace &
John Pace DieCharles L. Pace, son of James and Mary Flathers Pace, was born on December 6, 1858, at Pleasant Valley, Olmsted county, Minnesota.
When Charles was two years old his parents moved to Mower county. From then until the time of his death he lived in Mower and Freeborn counties.
He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Murane. Three children were born to them: Hattie, who died at the age of nine years, and Sydney and Mae (Mrs. Emmet Gavin) of this city.
His death came unexpectedly at one o'clock Sunday afternoon at the home of his daughter. his funeral was held from St. Augustine's church Tuesday morning and he was laid to rest beside his daughter Hattie.
His wife, two children, eight grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Sarah Rynn, and a host of friends, mourn his passing.

JOHN PACE DIED 3 DAYS
AFTER DEATH OF BROTHERJohn Pace died at 12:35 this afternoon at St. Olaf hospital following a long illness. He was a brother of Charles pace, who died Sunday. The funeral arrangements have not yet been completed.
