Obituary

John L. Pace, son of James and Mary Flathers Pace, was born on May 9, 1861 at Pleasant Grove, Olmsted county, Minnesota.

He came to Mower county with his parents when but a child, and lived here until the time of his death.

Mr. Pace was united in marriage to Kate M. Pike, January 6, 1891. Twin boys were born to them, Elwin, who died in infancy and E. Roy, who died in 1934.

Mr. Pace died at St. Olaf hospital on January 18, 1939 at 12:35, after a long illness.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 o'clock Friday morning at the Goslee Funeral Home, Rev. Harry Poll of the Church of Christ officiating. He was laid to rest beside his son, Elwin, in the Ogden cemetery, in Iowa.

JOHN PACE DIED 3 DAYS
AFTER DEATH OF BROTHER

John Pace died at 12:35 this afternoon at St. Olaf hospital following a long illness. He was a brother of Charles pace, who died Sunday. The funeral arrangements have not yet been completed.
