LAST RITES FOR WILLIAM TESCH CONDUCTED JANUARY 21

Funeral services for William Henry Otto Tesch, 86, were held January 21 at the First Lutheran church with the Rev. O.A. Langehough officiating.

Mr. Tesch was born April 7, 1865 in Germany, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Tesch, who came to the United States when William was about three years old and settled in Wisconsin. A few years later the Tesch family moved to a farm in Rock township, Mitchell county.

On April 6, 1879 the late William Tesch was confirmed by the Rev. G.L. Zeilinger at St. John's Lutheran church.

On December 13, 1888 he was united in marriage to Albertina Klug after which they settled on a farm near St. Ansgar. To this union eight daughters were born. In 1907 the couple moved to St. Ansgar where a little later Mrs. Tesch passed away.

During the time he made his home in St. Ansgar, Mr. Tesch worked as a teamster and street commissioner.

On December 20, 1921, Mr. Tesch married Paulina Buehrer, and they made their home in St. Ansgar. Mrs. Tesch preceded her husband in death on March 7, 1944 and also four daughters, Lena, Lillie, Louise and Alice.

William Tesch passed away January 18, 1951 at the convalescent home in Mason City. He leaves to mourn his passing four daughters, Mrs. William Redeker of Mason City, Mrs. Herbert Gutmann of Lyle, Mrs. John Henrichs of Rockwell and Mrs. Arthur Froehlich of Hewett, Minnesota; also two brothers, Herman and Otto and one sister, Mrs. August M. Ruechel, 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Burial was in Rock Creek cemetery with the Rev. O.A. Langehough officiating at the committal services.

William Tesch was the son of Carl F. Tesch and Dorothea Wilhelmina (Tolzman) Tesch.

His first wife was Albertina (nee Klug) who was born July 13, 1868 Germany; and died February 3, 1907. She is buried in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar.

After her death William Tesch married Pauline Buehrer, the daughter of Matthias Buehrer and Salome (Kilcher) Buehrer.
