JOHN WENTWORTH OF MCINTIRE SUCCUMBS AT 76 AFTER STROKE
McIntire – John Wentworth, 76, died at the hospital in Charles City Saturday night
Mr. Wentworth suffered a stroke Wednesday morning at his home near McIntire. He was taken to the hospital Friday afternoon..
Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church in McIntire Tuesday afternoon at 1 o’clock. Burial was made in the McIntire Cemetery beside his wife who preceded him in death about 20 years ago. The Rev. Mr. Bell pastor of the Methodist Church officiated.

John Paul Wentworth was born September 15, 1864 in Iowa, the son of Charles Wentworth and Sarah (Griffin) Wentworth. (parents info from 1925 Iowa Census).
He married Marie Kidd, the daughter of James Kidd and Betsy (Okey) Kidd. Marie died December 18, 1918.
They had one son Jess John Wentworth 1891-1969.
