Obituary of
Earl H. Day

Earl Harold Day was born October 23, 1897 at Blairsburg, Iowa, the son of Isaac and Alice Day. He passed away suddenly on May 27, 1977 at his home in McIntire, Iowa, with funeral services being held on May 29, 1977, at 2:30 p.m. in the Wayne Baptist Church of McIntire with the Rev. John Gilbert officiating.

Mr. Day is survived by a brother, Clarence, Clearfield, Iowa, and a sister, Mrs. Irene Stoppelmoor of Wolsey, South Dakota.

He was a railroad station worker and served in the regular army, second infantry, in World War One. Prior to his military service, he attended school at Blairsburg, Iowa.

Mr. Day was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Mrs. Very Seger, Mrs. Elsie Musser and Mrs. Arlyne Paul.

Relatives and others from a distance attending the funeral included Leland Day, Holden, Missouri; Donald and Darwin Day, Kansas City, Missouri; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Gerken, LaMone, Missouri and Ray Burkett, Manchester, Iowa, as well as others.

Interment was in Riverside Cemetery in Riceville with the Lindstrom Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
