Funeral services for Ida G. Thompson, 93, who died November 4, 1982 at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center, were held November 6 at the First Lutheran church, Northwood, with the Rev. Charles Bunk officiating.

Ida G. Johnson Thompson was born October 23, 1889 in Worth county, the daughter of Michael D. and Julia Aase Johnson. She was baptized and confirmed in the South Shell Rock Lutheran church at Northwood. After attending the St. Ansgar Seminary, she graduated as a registered nurse at Bethesda hospital, St. Paul, Minn. She joined the U.S. Army as a nurse and served in England, France and Germany during World War I.

On September 11, 1920 she was united in marriage with Orlando Thompson. She was a member of the First Lutheran church, Northwood, and an associated member of the First Lutheran church, St. Ansgar. She was also a member of the American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, World War I Barracks of Worth County and the World War I Auxiliary.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Orlando; her parents; one sister, Mae (Johnson) Rustad; four brothers, Elmer, Winifred, John N. and Leland Johnson.

She is survived by her children, Harvey Thompson of Fairfield Bay, Ark.; Dean Thompson, St. Ansgar; Mrs. Howard (Marion) Bless of St. Ansgar and Mrs. Darold (Helen) Bless of Toeterville; five grandsons and eight granddaughters; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Esther Butler of Northwood and Mrs. Joyce Scott of Knoxville; many nieces and nephews.

Burial was in Sunset Rest Cemetery, Northwood.
