Olava P Docken was born May 3, 1872 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Gunhild Aslesdatter and Thidemand Thidemandsen Docken, the sixth of their eleven children.
Olava was baptized, confirmed and married to Nicholai Fagrebakken Pedersen on June 28, 1908 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
The couple had two sons, Charles Olaf Nikolai Pedersen (born October 16, 1914 Meroa, Iowa, died December 20, 1973 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa and Marion Nils Taylor Pedersen (born April 28, 1917 Meroa, Iowa, died October 8, 1937 Woodward, Dallas, Iowa).
Olava and Nic operated a general store in Meroa for many years.
Olava died September 24, 1965 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa and was buried at the RCLC Cemetery, Meroa, Iowa.
