Mrs. Anna Louisa Stovern died at her home December 1, 1906 after an illness of three years. She was born in St. Ansgar March 5, 1871, was baptized and confirmed by Rev. J. Olsen. She attended the Seminary for two years, after which she taught school for some years. She was married to Ed. Stovern July 3, 1895. They made their first home on the Stovern farm 2 1/2 miles north of St. Ansgar where they lived for six years. In the spring of 1901 they moved to Minnesota and lived on a farm about 5 miles west from Glenville. They returned in the fall of 1902 and since they have lived in St. Ansgar.
The funeral services were held in the N.L. church conducted by Rev. M.E. Waldeland.
On the casket were a number of very handsome floral pieces, the gifts of loving friends and neighbors.
The deceased leaves a husband and five children, father, mother, sisters and brother to mourn her death.
