OSAGE, IOWA - Rosie I. Pajer, age 94, of Osage and formerly of Mitchell, died Sunday, September 2, at the Faith Home in Osage.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 6, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage, Iowa, with Monsignor John Hemann officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with a Scripture service at 7:30 p.m.
Rosie was born August 1, 1918, in Mitchell, the daughter of Joseph M. and Victoria (Laga) Kordos. She attended school in Mitchell and graduated from Mitchell High School on May 28, 1936.
Rosie was united in marriage to Jerry M. Pajer on May 28, 1938, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage.
She worked at the West Drive Inn in Osage and she also was a cook for the Mitchell School system. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was active in the Guild. Rosie was also active with the U & I Club in Mitchell for 55 years. She enjoyed sewing, working with flowers and working in her garden.
Survivors include her sons, Ronald Pajer of Covington, Ga., Jerry (Marilyn) Pajer of Loganville, Ga.; four grandchildren, Kellie (Bill) Parker, Chris (Carol) Pajer, Renee (Ed) Beshel and Randy Pajer; six great-grandchildren, Brent and Hunter Parker, Courtney and Lauren Beshel and Jacob and Olivia Pajer; and one great-great-grandson, Waylon Parker.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Jerry, in 2000; her parents;, two sisters, Mary Vulk and Katherine Chrencik; and a step-grandson Dennis Mitchell.
