Genevieve Traeger Lemay

DYERSVILLE, Iowa -- Genevieve Traeger Lemay, 89, of Cape Coral, Fla., formerly of Dyersville and Dickeyville, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31, at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 Pine Island Road, Cape Coral, where friends may call after 11:30 a.m.

Genevieve was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church and Hunters Run Executive golf course. She resided in Florida since 1975.

Surviving are three children, Pamela (Gerry) Lentz, of Clear Lake, Gene (Becky) Traeger, of Dyersville, and Andy (MaDonna) Traeger, of Fort Myers, Fla., and Peosta; two brothers, Ernie and Melvin Hackenmiller; two sisters, Imelda Neis and Lorene Mayer; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold Traeger and Bill Lemay.

Genevieve Margaret Hackenmiller was born November 27, 1921 in Mitchell County, Iowa, the daughter of Mathias Hackenmiller and Olivia (Durben) Hackenmiller.

She married Harold Walter Traeger. He died December 6, 1992 in Cape Coral, Florida

She Married William Alpfonse Lemay April 15, 1996 in Florida. He died July 1, 2009 in Cape Coral, Florida.
