Ronald G. Shipman, 52, of rural Rudd, Iowa, died on Monday, January 10, 1994, in an accident at his place of employment, Wallace Computer Services, Osage.
Services were held on Thursday, January 13, 1994, at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, rural Osage, with Rev. R. Hoppenworth officiating. Interment was at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City. Fullerton Patterson James Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Shipman was born on October 9, 1941 in Corwith, Iowa, the son of Gene and Lucille (Schubert) Shipman. He graduated from the Rudd-Rockford-Marble Rock High School in 1960. On October 21, 1961 he was married to Virginia Field, at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church.
He was a bookkeeper for Shipman Propane and then was co-owner of H and M Transport. Later, he was a salesman for Mormann Feeds, and was most recently employed by Wallace Computer in Osage. He was a member of the Rock Creek Lutheran Church. He enjoyed his family, and especially his two grand-babies. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing and sports.
Living family members include his wife, Ginger Shipman of Rudd; his mother, Lucille Shipman of Rudd; one daughter, Allison (Mrs. Terry) Kruse of Nora Springs; two sons, Stacey and his wife, Shelley Shipman of Fertile and Leo Kruse of Nora Springs; two sisters, Jodell (Mrs. Larry) Schlotterbeck of centerville, Ohio, and Dianne (Mrs. Maury) Dietrich of Utica, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorials may be given to the Ronald Shipman Memorial Fund.
