STACYVILLE, IOWA - Linda L. Hackenmiller, 63, of Stacyville died on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Mason City.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Saturday, July 28, at 10:30 a.m. at the Visitation Catholic Church, Stacyville, with the Rev. Donald Bruggeman officiating.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Visitation Catholic Church, Stacyville, where there will be a rosary at 4:15 p.m. and a Scripture service at 7 p.m. Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home of St. Ansgar, Iowa is in charge of arrangements.

STACYVILLE, IOWA - Linda Hackenmiller, 63, of Stacyville died July 24, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Mason City.
The funeral service will be held at the Visitation Catholic Church, Stacyville, on Saturday, July 28, at 10:30 a.m. with Father Donald Bruggeman officiating.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 4-7 p.m., at the Visitation Catholic Church with a rosary at 4:15 p.m. and a Scripture service at 7 p.m. Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home of St. Ansgar is in charge of arrangements.
Linda, daughter of Jerry and Dolly (Bawek) Hackenmiller, was born in Stacyville on Aug. 9, 1948. She attended Visitation Grade School and High School in Stacyville, graduating in 1966. After graduation Linda moved to Rochester, Minnesota, and started her career with IBM, a career that took her to Florida and North Carolina. She retired from IBM after 25 years and moved back to Stacyville.
Linda worked in the Stacyville Nursing Home and served as Circle Leader for a number of years. She was known for her generosity, wedding cake creations and enthusiastic holiday-themed decorations.
She is survived by her daughter, Gretchen; her mother Dolly; and seven siblings, Judy Retterath, Minneapolis, Minn.; Larry, Fairbanks, Alaska; Tim, Waterloo; Sue, Houston, Texas; Kent, Grafton; Kevin, Eagan, Minn.; and Amy Kleinwort, Madrid; 18 nieces and nephews; 20 great-nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jerry; nephew, Jason; and grandparents Matthew and Olivia Hackenmiller and Ann and Roy Mahlmann.
