Paul James Leinenkugel, age 51, died at his home in Murrieta, California, on Monday, June 4, 2012, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, July 7, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at St Peter’s Catholic Church in New Haven, Iowa, with Rev. Ray E. Atwood officiating. Inurnment will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery. There will be a time for lunch and fellowship following services at the church.
Paul was born November 27, 1960, in Charles City, Iowa, the son of Norman “Bud” and Mary Jane (Fox) Leinenkugel. He graduated from high school in Osage, Iowa, in 1979, and received a BA in business administration with a marketing minor from the University of Wisconsin. Paul worked for many years in various sales/marketing positions within the corporate moving/relocation industry and prior to his illness as a solar consultant with Sunwize Technologies, Inc.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Cindi, step-daughters, Amber and Lindsey, and step-son, Garrett, all of Murrieta, California; brothers, Joe Leinenkugel of Urbandale, John (Kathy) Leinenkugel of Grimes, and Jim Leinenkugel of Urbandale; sisters, Rose (Tom) Hagemann of Des Moines, Therese (Tim) Rolfes of Johnston, and Mary Anne Leinenkugel of Osage. He also survived by many nieces and nephews and close cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Tom.
