RICEVILLE, IOWA - Edward Moore, 58, of Riceville died at the Stacyville Community Nursing Home in Stacyville on Saturday May 26, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at the Riceville United Methodist Church at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery in Osage, Iowa, with military honors conducted by the American Legion Roy Gue Post No. 244.
Friends may call at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville on Tuesday (May 29 ) during the hours of 4 to 7 p.m. and one hour before services at the church.

Death date: May 26, 2012Obituary: Edward Moore age 58, of Riceville passed away at the Stacyville Community Nursing Home in Stacyville, Iowa, on Saturday May 26, 2012.
Ed was born on March 10, 1954 in Osage, Iowa, to Charles and Millie (Randall) Moore. He attended local schools graduating from the Riceville High School. After graduation he attended John Deere training as a mechanic. Ed worked for over 25 years for John Deere, two of those years overseas in Saudi Arabia. Ed served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a big fan of auto racing, collecting John Deere tractors and was active in the Riceville American Legion.
Survivors include two daughters: Denise (Scott) Hockens and their children John Ellis and Amanda of Osage, Iowa, and Jolene (Drew) Newman and their daughter Harmony of Knoxville, Tennessee; his father Chuck Moore and Neva Whitmore of Osage, Iowa; a sister Barbara (Marvin) Voight of Osage, Iowa; three nieces and their families; many aunts and uncles; and best friend Marshall Korte of Osage, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his mother Millie in 2002.
