Emilie Katherine Bystol was born August 1, 1885 in Wisconsin to Lars (Lewis) Bystol and Mary Daniels. She was one of their ten children. The family moved west to Worth County, Iowa.
Family found in the 1900, 1905, 1910, 1915 censuses living and farming near Manly, Lincoln, Worth, Iowa:
1900: Louis Bystol 55, Mary Bystol 45, Elum N Bystol 24, Lawrence O Bystol 19, Martha C Bystol 21, Alma H Bystol 17, Emily K Bystol 14, Knute B Bystol 12, Milo C Bystol 9, Laura J Bystol 7, Minnie T Bystol 2, Mable L Bystol 2.
1910: Lewis L Bystol 65 Mary Bystol 55, Emily C Bystol 24, Knut B Bystol 22, Milo C Bystol 19, Laura J Bystol 17, Minnie L Bystol 12, Sylvia Colby 8.
1915: Emily C Bystol age 28 years.
Emilie married Martin Fjelde (Field) December of 1919 at Iowa. The couple had 2 children.
Found in the 1920, 1925, 1930, 1935, 1940 censuses farming in Cedar township, Mitchell County, Iowa:
1920: Martin Field 34, Emily K Field 34, Peter Field 36, Oleo P Fjelde 65, Inger Fjelde 71
1925: Martin Field 39, Emily K Field 39, Margaret Field 3, Irling O Field 1, Peter Field 41.
1930: Martin Field 44, Emily K Field 44, Margaret A Field 9, Irving O Field 5, Peter Field 46.
1940: Martin Field 54, Emily 54, Margaret 19, Irving 15, Peter (brother 56).
Emily Field died January 27, 1979 at Mitchell County, Iowa. She is buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
