IRENE ANN NEIS

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 31, 1995, 11 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Osage, for Irene Ann Neis, 67, of Osage. Reverend Dennis Cahill will officiate and burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

Irene was born September 20, 1927 in Stacyville the daughter of Ben and Mabel (Winer) Faas. She received her education at Visitation Schools at Stacyville.

On August 7, 1946, she married William Norbert Neis in Stacyville. She lived her entire life in the Mitchell County area, the last 34 years in Osage. Irene was employed at Maple Manor, the former Osage Nursing Home, as manager of their dietary department. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Church Guild.

Her greatest enjoyment in life were visits from friends and family.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and an infant son, Richard; two brothers, Marvin Faas and Robert Faas.

Survivors include her husband, William of Osage; a daughter, Beverly White of Charles City; three sons, Robert Neis and his wife, Myrna of Mason City, Dennis Neis and wife, Satoe of Tripoli and Michael Neis and wife, Carolyn of Osage; two sisters, Mrs. Darwin (Mary Marlene) Mauer of Denver, Iowa and Margaret Huemann of Stacyville; two brothers, John Faas of Stacyville and Sylvan Faas of Mona; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
