MIDLAND MAN AMONG 66 KILLED IN CRASH OF TRANSPORT PLANES

Washington, Aug. 12 – The Army and the Air Force today identified 45 of the 66 American servicemen killed yesterday in the collision of two troop transports over Germany.

Ten of those identified were Air Force crew members and 35 were Army personnel. Identities of the remaining 21 men will not be available until later.

The Air Force dead were:
2nd Lt. Ray G. Nath of Riceville, Iowa

Washington AP -- The Air Force said Friday that one of the 10 crew members killed in the collision of two transport planes over Germany Thursday was Lt. Ray G. Nath, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter D. Nath of Riceville, Iowa

Ray George Nath was the son of Warren D Nath and Kathryn (Kempf) Nath. He was buried in the Riverside Cemetery, Riceville, Mitchell, Iowa
