EMIL THIETJE DIES; RITES AT MCINTIRE

McIntire – Funeral services were held Friday at the Methodist Church for Emil Thietje. He died Wednesday at the Riceville Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, three daughters; Mrs. Charles (Ruth) Peck, Momence, Illinois; Mrs. Wesley (Rose Marie) Wilson, Sheldon; Mrs. Lowell (Betty) Seiberling, Spring Valley, Minnesota; a son, Emil Jr., attending Drake University, Des Moines, and eight grandchildren.

A second service was held at Hartley in the Methodist Church with burial in the Pleasant View Cemetery.

Emil was the son of John Henry Thietje and Anna (Koch) Thietje. He married Rose Wilkins. (her name from their daughter Ruth’s birth/christening record)
