Deloris M. Kittleson, 76, of Mason City died Thursday, October 1, 2009, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 5, at the Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with Pastor Paul Nelson, St. James Lutheran Church, officiating. Inurnment will take place in Oakwood Cemetery, Plymouth. A gathering of family will friends will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Major Erickson Funeral Home. A Women of the Moose service will be held 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Deloris Kittleson Memorial Fund.
Deloris was born August 29, 1933, in Mason City, the daughter of Luttie (Dale) and Dorothy (Ashlock) Birch. Deloris graduated from Mason City High School.
She married Nels L. Kittleson November 27, 1954, in Mason City. Deloris worked for the Bowen Corp. as a secretary and would later work for the Moose Lodge here in Mason City. She was a member of the Moose Lodge, enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and loved to be social.
The Kittleson family would like to give a special thanks to her caregivers, Sandra Servantez and Cindy Brierly.
Deloris is survived by her son, Bruce (Michele) Kittleson, of Osage; grandchildren, Jonathan, Jake, Megan, Cody, Travis, and Rosalie; and one brother, Gary (Joyce) Birch, of Garner.
Deloris was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Nels; daughter, Tammie; son, Brad; and brother, Ronnie.
