Funeral services for former Mitchell resident, Don Prantner, 59, of Roundup, Montana, were held on Saturday, September 15, 1984 at Faith Lutheran Church, Mitchell. Rev. C. Bunk officiated at the service.
Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Mitchell, with military rites by the American Legion Post 278. He died on Monday, September 10, at a hospital in Billings, Montana. Don Prantner was born on October 2, 1924 in Seaforth, Minnesota, the son of Emil and Emma Prantner. He moved with his parents to Austin, Minnesota, where he grew up and was educated.
He served with the Army in World War II and returnedto farm newar Austin, Minnesota, after the war. He was united in marriage to Geraldine Bly in 1947 at Austin. They moved to Mitchell in 1952 where he worked as a plumber until moving to Montana in 1979. He and his son owned a trailer manufacturing company there.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine; two daughters, Mrs. Les (Linda) Mausehund of Mitchell and Becky Prantner of Pasco, Washington; a son, Tom of Billings, Montana; a sister, Mrs. Morris (Emily) Hansen of Battle Lake, Minnesota; two brothers, Ed and Emil, both of Austin and by five grandchildren.
