STACYVILLE, IOWA - Marvin "Red" Krebsbach, 87, of Stacyville, died on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center, St. Ansgar.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, April 10, at 10:30 a.m. at the Visitation Catholic Church, Stacyville, with Father Jack McClure CPPS officiating. Burial will be in the Visitation Catholic Cemetery, Stacyville.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 9, from 4-7 p.m. at the Visitation Catholic Church, Stacyville, were there will be a Prayer Sevice at 6:30 p.m.

Marvin was born on October 12, 1924 in Union Township, Mitchell County, Iowa, northwest of Stacyville to Anton and Rose (Wingert) Krebsbach. He attended Union #2 country school for eight years and four years at Visitation High School, graduating in 1943.
On June 2, 1945 he entered into the United States Army and served in active duty in France until October of 1946 when he was discharged. He was then employed by Theobald Implement in Stacyville and also worked for Hormel in Austin, Minn for a time.
Marvin was united in marriage on June 25, 1947 to Adeline Gilles. They began farming northwest of Stacyville in 1949 where they remained for forty years. In 1990 they retired to a new home in Stacyville. They were lifelong members of the Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville.
Marvin was a member of the Mitchell County Hospital Board for seventeen years. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, boating and in his later years he spent many hours building wooden replicas of farm equipment that he used during his years of farming.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Adeline in 2000; two brothers, Raymond and Eugene; an infant sister; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wilfred (Chrystal) Gilles, Wilmer (Arlis) Gilles, Rueben (Ardella) Gilles, Leo (Marian) Johnson, Vernon Gilles, Theresa Langenfeld, Daniel Gilles and Clarence Hemann.
Marvin is survived by his thirteen children; Diane Rose, Kenny, Jim (Sheryl) Krebsbach of Stacyville, Judy (Rick) Thurnau, Emily (Rod) Kuntz, Marcia (Mike) Molsberry of St. Ansgar, Marilyn (Dave) Bode of Osage, Gregg (Mindy) Krebsbach of Stacyville, Russ Krebsbach of Owatonna, MN, Roger (Tina) Krebsbach of Newburgh, Indiana., Joleen (Gary) Pedersen of Mason City, Iowa, Carolyn (Dave) Devens of St. Ansgar, and Paul (Coralie) Krebsbach of Stacyville; 38 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sisters-in-law; Barbara Krebsbach of Stacyville, Ardella Krebsbach of Adams, Minnesota, Gloria Gilles of Adams, Minnesota, Elizabeth Hemann of Stacyville.; brothers-in-law Greg Langenfeld of Dunlap, Iowa, Paul (Gertie) Gilles of Waterloo, Iowa; many nieces and nephews.
