SCHUMACHER, HACKENMILLER, SCHEER, BRUMM

Services for George N. Schumacher, 91, of Stacyville, Iowa, were held on Thursday, August 16, 1984, at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville. Rev. C. Manternach officiated, with burial in the Visitation Cemetery. George died on Tuesday, August 14, 1984, at the Stacyville Nursing Home.

A lifelong resident of the Stacyville area, Mr. Schumacher was a farmer. He married Elizabeth Hackenmiller, on September 16, 1915 in Meyer, Iowa. After retiring, he moved to Stacyville and was the custodian at Visitation School for many years. He was also an officer at the Stacyville Savings Bank for 43 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Al (Dorothy) Brumm of Rosemont, Minnesota, and Mrs. gerald (Virgene) Scheer of Osage; two sons, Hubert and Roman, both of Minneapolis, Minnesota; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth; his parents and one brother, William.
