Cora (Hill) Brown 1875-1961
MRS. CORA BROWN DIES AT OSAGE; RITES MONDAY
Osage – Mrs. Cora Brown, 85, died Friday at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Champion Funeral Home with burial in Orchard Cemetery.
Born near Osage, November 1875, she was the daughter of George and Salina Hill. She was married to Wesley Brown in January 1896 and had lived most of her life in Mitchell County. Her husband died in 1954 and she then lived with her daughter near Riceville.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Floyd Bird, Riceville; two sons; Charles, McIntire; Clifford, Charles City; a sister; Mrs. Clarence Barrett, Osage; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

**note: She married Wesley Anson Brown, the son of Anson and Adeline (Scott) Brown. Her parents were George Hill and Salina (Dewey) Hill.
