Funeral services for Louise Sinning, 96, of Osage, were held on Tuesday, June 5, 1984 at Eden Presbyterian Church in rural Rudd, Iowa. Rev. J. Bates officiated at the service with burial in the Eden Presbyterian Cemetery. She died on Saturday, June 2, 1984, at Faith Home nursing home in Osage.

Louise A. Sinning was born on August 15, 1887 in Dubuque, Iowa. She was the oldest child of Gustav and Lisette Kroh Dieterich. She attended the public schools in Dubuque and worked many years at Dubuque Presbyterian Press.

On May 1, 1912, she was united in marriage to Rev. Henry A. Sinning. Her husband preceded her in death on May 27, 1977, ending a marriage of over 65 years. Together they served the churches of Lexington, Nebraska, Scales Mound, Illinois, Schaller, Rolfe, Rudd and Stacyville, until retiring in 1964 to Osage, where she has lived since.

She was a member of Eden Presbyterian Church for 44 years.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters, and was the last surviving member of her family.

Survivors include one son, Arthur of Minneapolis, Minn., one daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Pearl) Brandau of Osage; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
