Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 22, 1984 at the United Methodist Church, for Leo Carter, 69, who died saturday, May 18, 1984, at his home in Osage, Iowa.

Rev. K. Hejnal officiated at the service and burial was in the Osage Cemetery. Champion Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Carter was born on February 8, 1915, in Mitchell County, Iowa, to Burton and Mary (Bishop) Carter. He attended rural schools in Cedar Township in Mitchell County.

He married Georgia Metz on April 28, 1934 in Osage. He was a farmer and truck driver until retiring in 1977. Mr. Carter lived on the farm where he was born, until he moved to Osage in 1983.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by one infant son, Burton John, one daughter, Rita Frances and his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Georgia; one daughter, Mrs. John (Rozanne) Mehmen, rural Osage, and two grandchildren.
