Funeal services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, at the United Methodist Church for Claude Voshell, 74, who died on Wednesday, May 16, 1984, at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital.
Rev. K. Hejnal of the United Church of Christ, officiated at the service, and burial was in the Osage Cemetery, where military rites were conducted by the Orchard American Legion Post 641. Champion Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Born on March 15, 1910, in Ackley, Minnesota, he was the son of William and Ada (Miller) Voshell. He moved to Wadena in 1924 and married Mary Irene Lonergan on March 22, 1932 in Wadena. A veteran of World War II, he had been a resident of the Osage area since 1933 and retired from farming in 1968. Mary Voshell died in 1979 and he married Mabel Roby on May 10, 1980, in Osage.
Survivors include his wife, Mabel; two daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Beverly) Whitney, Charles City, and Mrs. Paul (Minerva) Wagner, Osage; one son, Robert, Raleigh, N. Carolina; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Harley (Edith) Moore, Fayette, and one brother, Kenneth, Albert Lea, Minnesota.
