MRS. B.C. OLSON
A prominent Rock Creek woman, Mrs. B.C. Olson, died last night from intestinal cancer. For many years she and her husband, the latter of whom passed away a number of years ago, farmed in that neighborhood and reared their family of eight children. She was 67 years of age.
Funeral services are to be held from the Rock Creek church at 11 o'clock Friday morning, conducted by her pastor, the Rev. O.C. Myhre, and burial in the cemetery adjoining the church.

#2:Helena Antonson (or Antonsdatter) was born September 20, 1869 at Gran, Hadeland, Norway. She emigrated 1888, at the age of 19, to Park Rver, North Dakota. Married Bernt C. Olson on November 27, 1888 at Park River, North Dakota. The couple had eight children:
1. Alma Thorine (born April 2, 1890 Park River Walsh, N. Dakota, married Clarence Oscar Huset February 7, 1909 at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa, died February 12, 1957 Iowa City, Johnson, Iowa;
2. Oscar I. Olson (born September 1892 Park River, Walsh, N. Dakota, married Ellen E Miller);
3. Laura C. Olson (born August 1894 Park River, N.Dakota);
4. Clara Helene Olson (born September 13, 1897 Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa, married Clarence Miller 1927);
5. Martha J. Olson (born November 18, 1899 Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa, married John Timmerman April 7, 1920 at RCLC, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa, died February 15, 1995);
6. Carl J. Olson (born 1904 Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa, married Doris A. Ebert, died April 14, 1959 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa);
7. Ole Martin Olson (born October 22, 1906 Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa, died March 31, 1963 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa);
8. Alfred T. Olson (born February 6, 1910 Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa, died August 17, 1997 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa).Helene, husband Bernt and the three oldest children: Alma, Oscar and Laura left Park River, North Dakota in early 1896 and returned to Hadeland, Norway to live for about six months. Bernt then changed his mind about living in Norway and they emigrated a second time to America, this time settling at Cedar township, Mitchell County, Iowa where they lived their remaining lives.
Helena found in the 1900, 1905, 1910, 1915 censuses at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa:
1900: Ben C. Olsen, 46, Helena Olsen, 30, Alma J. Olsen, 10, Oscar A. Olsen, 7, Laura C. Olsen, 5, Clara H. Olsen, 2, Martha J. Olsen 6/12.1910: Ben C. Olson 56, Helen Olson 40, Oscar I. Olson 17, Dorn C. Olson 15, Clara Olson 12, Martha Olson 10, Carl Olson 6, Ole Olson 3, Alfred Olson 2 mos.
1915: Helene Olson age 45.
Helena died December 30, 1924 at Mitchell County, Iowa and was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
