Joseph H. Rogers, 86, a retired farmer, died at his Osage home on Monday evening, October 22, 1984. A prayer services has been scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Champion Funeral Home and funeral services will be held on Friday, October 26 at Sacred Heart Church in Osage, with Rev. Connolly officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Mr. Rogers was born in Mitchell county, Iowa, the son of Charles E. and Anna Heal Rogers on April 17, 1898. He married Mabel Weinberger January 9, 1924. The couple has lived in Osage since retiring from farming.
He is survived by his wife; four sons: Galen of Austin, Marvin and Jerry of Osage and Brother Damian of St. John's of Collegeville, Minnesota; six sisters: Mrs. John (Marie) Boerjan of St. Ansgar, Mrs. Don (Eileen) Kleckner of Osage, Mrs. John (Monica) Faas, Mrs. Joe (Lorraine) Prokopec of Owatonna, Minnesota, Mrs. Robert (Marilyn) Doyle of Melrose, Minnesota; and Mrs. Jack (Kathleen) Angell of Nashua. He is also survived by 63 grandchildren and 72 great-grandchildren.
Precededing Mr. Rogers in death were his parents, a brother Eddie, two sons, Clair and Maurice and four grandchildren.
