Funeral services for Grover O. Halverson 90, of St. Ansgar are to be held on Wednesday, March 21, 1984, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar. Rev. Norman Betke will officiate, with burial in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar. He died on Sunday, March 18, 1984, at the Good Samaritan nursing home in St. Ansgar.
Halverson was a lifelong resident of the St. Ansgar area where he worked as a mechanic. He served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant first class during World War I.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bill (Dorothy) Hegland of St. Ansgar and Mrs. Wayne (Laurine) Rasmus of Garner; two sisters, Minnie Woodiwiss of Ellensburg, Washington, and Nettie Stromley of St. Ansgar; one brother, Victor of Los Angeles, Calif.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
