Riceville – Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Chisholm Funeral Home here for Charles F. Brockney, 81, lifelong area resident, who died Sunday at a Riceville Hospital.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery here. Mr. Brockney was a retired farmer.Survivors include his wife, Amanda; a daughter; Mrs. Laura Ferguson, Riceville; three sons; Alvin, Stockton, California; and Roy and Leslie, both of Elma; a brother; Fred, Riceville; a sister; Mrs. Rennie Forsythe, Riceville; 11 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

BROCKNEYS MARK 58TH ANNIVERSARYRiceville – Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brockney, Riceville, observed their 58th wedding anniversary at their home.
Charles Brockney and Amanda Vollbrecht were married November 9, 1904, in the home of the bride’s parents. They made their first home on a farm near New Haven, and have lived their entire married life in Mitchell County, moving to Riceville in 1941.
They have four children; Roy and Leslie, south of Riceville; Mrs. Harold Ferguson, Riceville; and Alvin, Stockton, California. They have 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
