RICEVILLE, IOWA — Lydia E. Freerksen, 72, of Riceville, died Wednesday, July 11, of a heart attack, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minnesota.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Riceville. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. in Eldora Cemetery, Eldora. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Hutchins Funeral Home, LeRoy, Minnesota, and an hour before services at the church.

Lydia Emma Henrietta (Steinfeldt) Freerksen

Lydia was born February 18, 1911 in Hardin County, Iowa, the daughter of Reinhold Albert Steinfeldt and Anna Wilhelmina (Balvanz) Steinfeldt.

She married Donald C. Freerksen, the son of Lewis Nicklos Freerksen and Sadie (Strickler) Freerksen. They lived in Riceville, Iowa.

One of their children; a son Glenn Chester Freerksen, is buried in the Wayne, Mitchell, Iowa Cemetery.
