APOPLEXY AT HOME

Mrs. Lulu Hill died unexpectedly at her home on west Chase street in Osage, Iowa, Sunday evening at about 9 o'clock. Though in frail health for some time, she had been about as ususal ip to the day of her death. Late Sunday afternoon she went to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gordon Torney, and early in the eveing remarked that she didn't feel very well and thought she'd call on her doctor on her way home.

Mr. Torney took her to the doctor's office where her ailment was pronounced a temporary one, and she was taken home. Soon she felt worse, and the doctor was telephoned for, but she went into a coma and died within a short time. Death was due to apoplexy.

Funeral services are being held this afternoon at the Shelledy funeral home, and burial will be made on the family lot at Little Cedar.

OBITUARY

Lulu Isabelle Hill, daughter of Edward and Isabelle Stannard Hill, was born in Osage, Iowa, on April 21, 1870. Soon after her birth the family moved onto a farm they had purchased a mile northwest of Little Cedar (now the home of the Henry Milton's).

There she grew to a capable womanhood, and on October 27, 1887, was married to Abraham Lincoln Hill. Their home was established on Mr. Hill's farm adjoining her parental home on the east. They lived there until 1902 when they sold the farm and moved to Osage, where Mr. Hill entered the farm implement business with a brother, S. W. Hill.

Osage was Mrs. Hill's home the rest of her life, except for a short period on a farm near Mitchell and a period of homesteading in Colorado.

Seven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Hill: Winifred, who died in infancy; Helen, who died at the age of six; Lynn (a twin brother to Glen), who died at the age of two; and Glen, at home; Mrs. Hazel Torney, Osage; Sidney and Edward, both of Los Angeles. The four last named survive to cherish the memory of a mother who was known by her friends as approaching very closely to the ideal.

She is also survived by a brother, George Hill, Appleton, Minnesota.
