Penny Jean Morische 1962-1983

NORA SPRINGS, IOWA - Services for Penny Jean Morische, 20, of Ames, who died Monday at a Des Moines hospital of injuries received in a traffic accident July 28 near Nevada, will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church, south of Osage; burial in Calvary Cemetery, rural Osage.

Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Morische of rural Nora Springs; a brother, Gary of Ankeny; and a grandfather, Elmer Morische of Osage.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday at Champion Funeral Home in Osage.

Miss Morische was a 1980 graduate of Nora Springs High School and was a student at Bernel College of Cosmetology in Ames.

Ames woman dies after truck accident

DES MOINES (AP) — Penny Jean Morische, 21, of Ames died late Monday morning at a Des Moines hospital of injuries suffered in a truck accident Thursday in Story County near Zearing, Iowa.

Morische, a passenger in a truck driven by Darrell Jewell, 19, of Ames, suffered severe head injuries when the truck went off the road and rolled over several times. Jewell was charged with failure to have his vehicle under control.
