Jamie Jerald Ott 1972-1994

Jamie Ott, 21, of Marble Rock, died Monday, August 8, 1994, in an automobile accident south of Charles City.

A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Roseville, with Msgr. W. Brunkan officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

A parish scripture service was scheduled for 7:45 p.m. Wednesday at Hauser Funeral Home, Charles City.

Jamie Jerald Ott was born on November 10, 1972 at Osage, Iowa.

He is survived by his parents, Jerald and Mary Ott of Marble Rock; one sister, Michelle McCumber of Charles City; a brother, Jason Ott, at home; his paternal grandparents, Oscar and Thelca Ott of Charles City; and his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Ethel Drees of Adams, Minnesota.

Jamie's accident occurred about 7:40 p.m. Monday, at the intersection of Timber Ave. and 230th St., two miles southeast of Charles City. He was eastbound and the other driver was southbound when they arrived at the uncontrolled intersection at approximately the same time. The vehicles collided and slid into the southeast corner ditch.

The driver of the other vehicle was thrown through the passenger window at the time of the accident. He was taken by ambulance to Floyd County Memorial, and then transferred by Air Care out of Waterloo to North Iowa Mercy Health Center East in Mason City There is no report on his condition.
