Minna Louisa Kogle, nee Feldt, was the daughter of Albert and Emma Krueger Feldt, born on May 1, 1886, near Grafton, Worth county, Iowa. She was baptized in the Lutheran church, and after receiving instructions in the fundamentals of the Christian religion, she was confirmed at Grafton, April 8, 1900.
After her confirmation the deceased attended college at Red Wing, Minnesota, for two years, and then helped her parents on the farm until she was married to William H. Kogle on October 26, 1909, at Mitchell, South Dakota. They spent the early years of their married life at Mason City. To this union five children were born, the three youngest being triplets, one of whom died soon after birth.
Since 1920 she was conpelled to support herself and her four children by doing whatever work she could find to do. She also provided a home for a stepson, Bert, who died in an accident, July 6, 1930.
In 1922 she purchased a home in St. Ansgar, taking in roomers and boarders. She was taken ill in 1938, and in spite of expert treatment her condition grew steadily worse, so that she had to quit housekeeping in August of this years and rent her home to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Larson. The past few months she has spent with her daughter, Mrs. Frederick Adrian in Charles City, where she passed away last Monday morning at 9 o'clock.
She is survived by her sons, John and Lloyd, and her daughters, Mrs. L.A. Moeller, and Mrs. Frederick Adrian, one grandson, two brothers, Herman and Emil Feldt, and her aged father Albert Feldt.
