Rolland “Rollo” Young – October 27, 1867 – September 17, 1941

FORMER RESIDENT OF RICEVILLE VICINITY DIES IN MINNEAPOLIS
Riceville – Rollo Young, a former resident on a farm west of town, died at his home in Minneapolis and was brought here for burial.
Services were held by the Rev. Thomas Dixon with burial in Riverside Cemetery.

Rolland “Rollo” Young was born October 27, 1867 in Riceville, the son of Thomas Jefferson Young and Nancy Jane (Pilcher) Young. He married Gertrude Groat, the daughter of Edmund Groat and Sarah (Fowler) Groat.
He and his parents and wife are buried in the Riverside, Mitchell Co., Iowa Cemetery
