DIES AT INDEPENDENCE

Osage – Word has been received of the death of a long time resident, Mrs. Mina Catteau at the state hospital at Independence, where she received treatment the past year.

Funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church, in charge of the Rev. Glen Hartong.

HOLD CATTEAU RITES

Osage – Funeral services were to be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Osage Methodist Church for Mina Catteau, 79, who died Saturday at the state hospital, Independence, where she had received treatment for 10 months.
The Rev. Glen Hartong, Methodist pastor, was to officiate.

She leaves 2 daughters, a sister and a brother.

Ermina “Mina” George was born August 1866 in Mitchell Co., Iowa, the daughter of Jehial George and Mary Jane (Orr) George.

She married George Catteau, the son of Michael Catteau and Alice (Swan) Catteau. Her husband was born in England.

They had two daughters; Nellie , born December 29, 1886, and Alice, born October 5, 1890. Nellie married Clarence Farrington. Nellie died April 1972 in Howard, South Dakota. Alice married ?? Thurow.

She was buried in the Osage Cemetery.
