Harry Seymour Brown .. November 16, 1889 – July 17, 1950

Osage – Word arrived Monday in Osage of accidental death by lightning of a former Mitchell County Resident.
Harry Brown, 59, died near his farm home at Chetek, Wisconsin. Brown had been driving cattle across the rod when a bolt of lightning struck him, killing him instantaneously.
Funeral rites pend word from his daughter, Miss Marie Brown, who has a stenographic position with the U.S. Government. If she can come, rites are scheduled for Friday afternoon at Chetek. If she cannot come, rites are to be Wednesday afternoon at 2:30. Burial is to be in Barron Cemetery.
Born in Mitchell County to Dewitt and Sarah (Carter) Brown, he married Pearl Cameron. The couple lived near Osage, near St. Ansgar, and near Floyd.
Survivors include his daughter, and 3 sisters; Mrs. Myrtle Sedlacek, Chetek, Wisconsin, who resided with Mr. Brown; Mrs. Clarence Isaacs, Barron, Wisconsin; and Mrs. Clarence Allison, Owatonna, Minnesota.

ATTEND FUNERAL
Osage, Ia. – Mrs. Will Adrian and Mr. and Mrs. Burton Carter left early Wednesday morning for Chetek, Wisconsin to be present for funeral rites of a cousin, Harry Brown, 59, lightning victim. Burial was to be at Barron, Wisconsin.
Brown was born and reared in Mitchell County, leaving here about 22 years ago for Wisconsin.
Surviving him are his daughter, Marie, in Tokyo, and three sisters; Mrs. Myrtle Sedlacek Chetek, Wisconsin; Mrs. Clarence Isaacs, Baron, Wisconsin; and Mrs. Clarence Allison, Owatonna, Minnesota.
