CHILD CHOKES TO DEATH ON PILL
Osage, Ia. – Tragedy struck the Leo Carter family Wednesday at 5 p.m. when their only daughter, Rita, age 3, choked to death on a pill before help could arrive.
The child had been taken to a doctor during the day and the pills had been prescribed for a cold.
Rita is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Carter, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Metz, Osage, and Mr. and Mrs. Burton Carter, Osage.
Mrs. Carter is the former Georgia Metz.
A brother died in infancy.
