Last Friday afternoon, at about 2 o'clock, the spirit of Mrs. Michael Peterson bade farewell to its earthly tenement to wing its flight to realms of peace. Her death was not unexpected to her many friends and relatives, as she had long been a sufferer from that dread disease consumption, but the blow is indeed a severe one to her relatives as she died so young. She was about twenty-four years of age, and leaves a husband and little boy behind to mourn the loss of a kind wife and gentle mother. The funeral services were held in the Lutheran Church last Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Olsen officiating. The attendance that gathered to pay a parting tribute to the dead was very large. When the ceremonies at the church were over the procession formed and moved to the Lutheran cemetery, where all that is mortal of a worthy woman now rests in peace.
