RITES INCOMPLETE FOR ERV WELDIN, 75, OF OSAGE

Osage – Funeral services are incomplete for Erv B. Weldin, 75, lifetime resident of Osage, who died Friday morning at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. An autopsy was scheduled for Friday.

He was a farmer and machinist.

Survivors include ten children; William and Glen, Osage; Wayne, Williams; Mrs. Duane Larson and Mrs. Art Anderson, Waterloo; Hugh, Mitchell; Margery Curtis, Chicago; Mrs. Albert Wieland, LeRoy, Minnesota; the Rev. Charles Weldin, Kansas City, Missouri; and Jerald, Connorsville, Indiana, and 26 grandchildren.

WELDIN FUNERAL TO BE MONDAY AT OSAGE

Osage – Funeral services for Erv Weldin, 75, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Christian Missionary and Alliance Church in Osage.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Mitchell.
He is a former farmer and machinist.

Erven Benjamin Weldin was born January 25, 1882 in Mitchell Co., Iowa, the son of Benjamin Weldin and Sarah (McIlwain) Weldin.

He married Charlotte Michaelis, the daughter of William and Hattie (Clayton) Michaelis. (his full name and birth from WWI Draft Registration Sept. 12, 1918).

In the 1900 Census, he is listed with his mother Sarah, and she is listed as being divorced.
