Funeral services for Mrs. Walter Pike, 91, who died Junly 28, 1970 at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center, were held July 31 at the First Lutheran church here with the Rev. D. Comnick officiating.

Isabelle Pike, daughter of Andrew and Ingeborg Kvale, was born May 12, 1878 at Brookings, S.D. She moved to Lyle with her parents when a small child, and the Kvale family settled in the Lyle area. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

December 9, 1903 she was united in marriage to Walter Pike. She had lived in the Mitchell and Worth county areas all her life.

Mrs. Pike is survived by her husband, Walter; five daughters, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Naber of Mason City; Mrs. Alvin (Alice) Olson, Northwood; Mrs. Truly Nelson, Albert Lea, Minn.; Elmo of Northwood; Mrs. Eugene (Thelma) DeLaney of Lyle; four sons, Archie of Lyle; Guy, Carpenter; Harold of Dumont; and Roy of St.Ansgar; two sister, Mrs. Olga Warrington of Long Beach, Calif. and Mrs. Alvina Waughtal of Phoenix, Ariz.; also 44 grandchildren and 118 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Lucy. Burial was in First Lutheran cemetery, with Rev. Comnick in charge of the committal services.

OSAGE, IOWA — Services for Mrs. Walter Pike, 91, who died Tuesday at the Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar, will be at p.m. Friday at the First Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, five sons: Archie of Lyle, Guy of Carpenter, Harold of Dumont, Roy of St. Ansgar, and Elmo of Northwood; four daughters: Mrs. George Naber of Mason City, Mrs. Alvin Olson of North wood, Mrs. Truly Nelson of Albert Lea, Minn., and Mrs. Eugene DeLaney of Lyle, Minn.; 44 grandchildren, 118 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs Olga Warrington of Long Beach Calif, and Mrs. Alvina Waughtal of Phoenix, Ariz.;

Schroeder and Houg Funeral Home is in charge.
