Lillian M. Goodale

Funeral services were held on Monday, July 14, 1986 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage for Mrs. Burl (Lillian) Goodale, 80, of Osage. Mrs. Goodale died on Friday, July 11, 1986 at the Osage hospital. Rev. Harry Korte officiated, and burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

She was born to Peter and Louise (Billhartz) Wagner on September 4, 1905 in New Haven, Iowa. She attended East Lincoln township schools in Mitchell County and married Burl Goodale on Sept. 25, 1929 at New Haven. They farmed near Colwell, then near Osage. Mr. Goodale retired in 1968 and the couple moved to Osage.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Matt (Viola) Klassen of Adams, Minnesota, Mrs. Curt (Arlene) Fox of Osage, and Mrs. Chuck (Irene) Johnson of Cedar Rapids; five sons, Kenneth and Dale, both of Osage, William of Manly, Vernon of Little Cedar, and Dean of Mason City; two brothers, Ernie and Everett Wagner, both of Osage; 39 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
