Word has been received of the death of former Osage resident, Mrs. Ross (Mary) Woodward, on May 4, 1986 at Flint, Michigan. Graveside services were held at Flint on May 6, 1986.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, and one great-grandson.

She is survived by one son; Orban of Flint, Michigan, one granddaughter; Mrs. Eugene Dale, Riceville, Iowa; one grandson, Robert M. Lack, Osage; eight great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Mary Alice (Day) Woodward was born September 16, 1889 in Iowa, the daughter of Charles Arthur Day and Harriet Louisa (Worchester) Day.

She married Ross Orban Woodward, the son of Burton S. Woodward and Martha Jane (Smith) Woodward. A daughter, Clair Woodward was born in 1910 and died in 1931 of complications of child birth. She married Earl Waid. She is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Charles City, Floyd, Iowa.

A son, Orban Day Woodward was born September 16, 1914 and died April 18, 2001. He is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, Chelsea, Washtenaw, Michigan.
