FINAL TRIBUTE PAID TO PASTOR
REV. JOHN GAMMONS LAID TO REST IN FAMILY LOT

Cresco – Funeral services for the Rev. John Gammons, 86, of Cresco, retired minister of the Upper Iowa Methodist Conference, were held Saturday at the Cresco Methodist Church, the Rev. George V. Turner, officiating, with burial at Osage in the family lot.

The Rev. A. B. Curran of Cedar Rapids, an old time friend and co-worker with Mr. Gammons, preached the funeral sermon and paid a glowing tribute to the outstanding Christian character of the deceased brother minister.

Casket bearers were boyhood friends of Mr. Gammons son, Earl, and a group of members of the Hward County Ministerial association attended in a body, as did also members of the P.E.O. to which Mrs. Gammons belonged.
